2016 State Referendum – Redlands fixed four-year terms

Referendum for an Act to provide for fixed four-year terms for the Legislative Assembly in Queensland.

With almost 48% of the votes counted, the Redlands has voted 51.1% against the proposed change to a 4 year term.

Votes so far, at 10:45am 20th March 2016

7,995 – 48.89% YES
8,358 – 51.10% NO

Votes at 5:06 pm 26th March 2016 with 57.91% of Roll Counted:

9,639 – 48.49%
10,240 – 51.51%

With 2,172,043 of the possible 3,083,593 Queensland voters counted, the State result so far is:

The YES Vote:

1,114,354 – 52.91%

The NO Vote

991,901 – 47.09%

Informal Votes (Spoiled)

65,788 – 3.03%
