Attempted armed robbery, Redland Bay : 23rd Feb 2015
Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a bottle shop with a knife at Redland Bay last night.
Around 6.20pm, a man entered the Broadwater Terrace store before producing a knife and pointing it towards a female employee.
He demanded the attendant walk to the till and hand over cash.
She complied with his demands and was at the counter when a male customer confronted the man. The man then pushed the customer in the chest and he walked away.
The employee then accidentally dropped the cash on the ground. The man then decided to leave and smashed a bottle of wine on the ground while fleeing the scene empty-handed.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as being about 175 to 180cm tall with a medium build and was wearing a hooded-jumper, a face mask and sunglasses at the time of the incident.
