Armed robbery, Wynnum West

Police are investigating after a service station at Wynnum West was robbed this morning.

Around 1.45am a man went to the Preston Road business and used a machete to break the glass doors that were locked, gaining entry. He has approached the male attendant and demanded cash and cigarettes.

After obtaining cash and cigarettes the man fled the store and was last seen heading towards Wondall Road.

The male attendant and a female customer in the store at the time were not physically harmed.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall, was wearing all black clothing and carrying a black backpack.
