Armed robbery, Wynnum
Police are investigating following the armed robbery of video store in Wynnum overnight.
Initial investigations suggest at around 8:40pm a man armed with a screwdriver entered the store on Tingal Road and demanded money from a staff member.
The staff member complied with the man’s demands before the man fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash.
The 30-year-old male staff member was not physically injured during the incident.
Police conducted patrols of the area but were unable to locate the man.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall, of a slim build and was last seen wearing a grey coloured hooded jumper with a black V-line, long black dress pants and black dress shoes.
Investigations are continuing.
