Bandidos Criminal Gang – Search Warrant Macleay Island
Early on Tuesday 24th February, as a result of investigations into the supply of illegal drugs by the Bandidos criminal gang, Detectives from Task Force Maxima executed a search warrant at a residence Coffea Street, Macleay Island.
This search resulted the seizure of illegal drugs to value of $10,000 including 3 x Cannabis plants, 600g of cannabis, steroids, ammunition and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result, a 33 year old, Macleay Island male was arrested for the offences of producing a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of restricted drug, possession of ammunition, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruct police. .
As a result, a 37 year old, Macleay Island female was issued with a notice to appear for the offences of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of Taskforce Maxima stated “Todays efforts demonstrates the efforts undertaken to ensure all Queensland communities are protected from those involved in illicit drugs. We encourage all members of the public, regardless of where they live, to come forward and work with the QPS to make their communities safer and crime free.”
Both persons will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates court next month.
