Burglary with violence, Wynnum West. 13 May 2015
Detectives are investigating following an incident at a residence in Wynnum West this morning where two men forced their way into the home of an elderly woman.
Initial investigations indicate that just before 7am the men forced entry into the residence of an 87-year-old woman at Grainger Street.
The woman was dragged by one of the men and forced into a room of the house. The men have then ransacked several rooms before leaving the residence.
The woman was treated at the scene and was transported to Redlands Hospital for a precautionary examination.
Both men were described as being of slim build and had their faces covered.
It is believed they left the scene on foot heading along Grainger Street and then east along Roseneath Street.
Investigations are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Grainger Street around the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A second man has been charged following investigations into an incident at a residence in Wynnum West on May 13.
A 28-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with enter dwelling with intent in company, robbery in company and deprivation of liberty. He is expected to appear at the Wynnum Magistrates Court tomorrow (May 28).

Detectives have charged a man following their investigations into an incident at a residence in Wynnum West on May 13 whereby two men forced their way into the home of an elderly woman.
Police will allege that around 7am the man forced his way into a residence of an 87-year-old woman at Grainger Street before assaulting the woman and stealing property.
The woman was treated at the scene and was transported to Redlands Hospital for a precautionary examination.
The 17-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent, robbery in company and deprivation of liberty. The man is scheduled to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court this afternoon.
