Speed Limit Compliance Rates in 2014
A survey of Speed Compliance rates in 2014 showed that about 84% of drivers in general keep to within 5km/h of the speed limits, and about 70% sticking to the actual limit or less. This applied to the 50km/h and the 100km/h limits.
The 60km/h limits had a much higher compliance rate, but probably more due to the density of traffic rather than anything else. Although the numbers of fixed and random speed cameras in the 60km/h zones may also have an infuence.
