Tea-cup Cottage provides Respite and Emergency Respite Houses for adults & children with disability.
Our cottage rates are all inclusive as it is imperative that our guests are supported without prejudice. At The Tea-cup Cottage our philosophy is to care for the whole person, so our guests will enjoy the best dietary management and activity options that we can deliver. Our dietary management is based on the use of wholesome organic and freshly prepared dishes for each meal of the day. Our guests can partake in the preparation of our meals or can simply sit back and be spoilt for choice. Having our own organic garden makes for the freshest harvest each and every day.
The Tea-Cup Cottage respects our guests rights, their values and their personal goals. Our staff are committed to assisting our guests without hesitation during their stay with us. Our cottage aims to deliver a comfortable homely environment, not the sterile institution usually associated with respite care. We provide 24 hour a day care for our guests in our beautifully appointed four bedroom home. Guests are invited to participate in feeding the parrots in the morning at the cottage, tending to our vegetable garden, games or even a Saturday night BBQ – weather permitting.
As The Tea-cup Cottage is located in Wynnum on Brisbane’s Bayside, we have easy access to a host of waterfront activities. These activities can include esplanade walks, visits to Pandanus Beach, mangrove walks, feeding the pelicans, fishing, exploring tidal pools, picnics, kite flying, craft and farmers markets as well as many other community fairs and celebrations. Activities are tailored to our guests individual abilities and special interests.
