Weapons charges, Mount Cotton
Police have charged a man following an incident where a home-made explosive device has been set off on private property at Mount Cotton overnight.
It will be alleged shortly before 10pm emergency services attended an address in Bottletree Crescent in relation to calls about an explosion. No one was injured during the explosion on a vacant block.
A 20-year-old Mount Cotton man has been charged with one count of dangerous conduct with a weapon, possess weapon whilst under the influence of liquor and attempt to destroy property by explosives.
He is expected to appear at the Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 2.
