The Redlands is home to one of the largest urban koala populations in Australia.
The local Koala population is estimated at between 1,500 and 3,000 but has seen a population decline of about 60% during the last 10 years.
The Redland City Council has a sightings map showing areas that locals have seen Koalas in the wild, and reported the sighting.
The map is at: http://www.koalacentral.com.au/koala-sighting-map.php
Your own sighting can be reported at: http://www.koalacentral.com.au/report-a-koala-sighting.php
